Hey there, Since yesterday my Wikipedia account password is not working. After the problem i changed my pass couple of time. But new password also not working. My wikipedia username is: NahidSultan when i entered pass it replied (Login error Incorrect password entered. Please try again.). But i'm damn sure i've entered a correct password.
I also found a same report on this (https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53755)
(https://toolserver.org/~quentinv57/sulinfo/NahidSultan) it says my account is locked
Thanks for taking the time to report this! [Not security related => moving to Wikimedia/General]
(In reply to comment #2) > (https://toolserver.org/~quentinv57/sulinfo/NahidSultan) > it says my account is locked This is because your global account <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:CentralAuth/NahidSultan> is locked. See this <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Log?page=User:NahidSultan@global> You should create a temporary account on Meta-Wiki and either ask J.delanoy <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:J.delanoy> or steward request <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/SRG> to be unlocked. See <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lock> for details. There might be a bug about having the log-in message say something other than "wrong password"(it would be filed under Extensions/CentralAuth)
(In reply to comment #3) > Thanks for taking the time to report this! > > [Not security related => moving to Wikimedia/General] I think this is invalid. This is expected behaviour of CentralAuth (from a steward's perspective, not user's). File a separate bug about the lack of correct message for logging in after being locked.

Unlocked. I do not know how adequately to apologize. I am on my phone, but I will be sure to address this more properly when I get to a more suitable device.

I'm going to resolve this as a duplicate of the newly-created bug 57866, which specifically calls out the poor error message when an account is globally locked. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 57866 ***
