Hallo! It was a very good idea from Brion to "*disabled the interpretation of X-code in incoming links*" at wiki projects in Esperanto - see bug 1512 comment 10 ( http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1512#c10 ) What Brion did is obeing a fundamental principal that a interlanguage link in project A to a page with title B in project C should be B and nothing else. This will allow "copies and pasts" of page titles and does not require knowledge about character conversion in the target project C - here the magical character conversion in Esperanto. Nevertheless additional actions would be required to fix this complex configuration. *Why?* Because InterLangua links have changed: - from [[eo:Australio]] to [[eo:Aŭstralio]] - from [[eo:Aldous HUXxLEY]] to [[eo:Aldous HUXLEY]] - etc. see old list of affected titles at [[eo:Vikipediisto:Gangleri/tests/projektoj/duobla_x-o]] a) contributors working in related areas should be notified (village pumps, mailing lists etc.) about the change b) bot operators should first change / adapt bot software and update their bots c) what can be adjusted manualy should be changed starting from titles in projects in Esperanto containing the relevant combinations ux, sx etc d) any other ideas / any other help etc. Best regards Reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
addition to comment #0 >c) what can be adjusted manualy should be changed starting from titles in projects in Esperanto containing the relevant combinations ux, sx etc http://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aldous_Huxley&diff=next&oldid=9660330 If one interlanguage link is fixed manualy in a language other then Esperanto bots should be able to correct the remaining languages. Interchanging hint files would speed this up. Thanks to all in advance for fixing this. Best regards Reinhardt [[user:gangleri]]
correction: from [[eo:Australio]] to [[eo:Aŭstralio]] to [[eo:Auxstralio]] to [[eo:Aŭstralio]] see also http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipedio:Babilejo#.22.C4.88apelitaj.22_literoj_misfunkcias (in Esperanto)
I think most of the links are now fixed and no actions are required.
