Contribution size on advanced RC in non-English wikis shows in bytes, like (+2983) it should be in symbols instead, like (+1431) (mesured by Microsoft Word stats). It related to UTF-8 Kazakh Cyrillic encoding prezented with 2 bytes, or to UTF-8 East Asia complex scripts with 3 bytes. For accuracy mesuring blank spaces souldn't considered, and calculled symbols only instead. Mesuring in bytes have no sence. Also enabling contribution size showing should be in User preferences. Ccontribution size showing need mostly for administrators only, it is redundant for anonimous readers.

Ccontribution size showing > need mostly for administrators only, it is redundant for anonimous readers. It's not "redundant" for anyone, any more than any other of the information on changes lists are. This is also bug 8436.
All our page size records are in UTF-8 byte size. It is no more or less accurate.
