While working with MathJax, formulae using the environments "align" and "alignat" are not rendered as PNG. Example: https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Hilfe:TeX&action=edit§ion=40

Not backported. Please clarify in what version(s)/branch(es) this is present.
The patch needs to be tested and reviewed before it can be backported to the current wmf branch.
