Once we're happy with it. Currently feature-flagged off.
From bug 51734 comment 14: | Hi, we would like to try the TempalteDataEditor on NL wiki, see | https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:De_kroeg#Aanzetten_TemplateData-editor_op_nl-wiki First I think we should deploy it to MediaWiki.org to let people try it out.

What is the current status on deployment to other wikis?
(In reply to Lokal_Profil from comment #3) > What is the current status on deployment to other wikis? The GUI is deployed on MediaWiki.org but has had little use; we're working on improvements to it, and we'd be interested in feedback. It might be a little premature to deploy it to other wikis, but if you've tried it and think your community would like it, please do ask.

Mainly asking since VisualEditor is now default on many wikis yet the knowledge on how to prepare the templates is sparse and the understanding of how the json works is even more so. Would an embedded solution (as on Commons) work better/feel more natural? I.e. a "normal" template for documenting the template which also produces TemplateData behind the scenes.
