If you try to VEdit this page you'll notice that the parameter page in [[File:NicodemusTessin dy dagbok 1688.djvu|500px|page=88]] gets ignored, and the cover page is displayed instead.

It looks like the imageinfo API lets us pass in the page number via the iiurlparam parameter:

iiurlparam          - A handler specific parameter string. For example, pdf's 
                        might use 'page15-100px'. iiurlwidth must be used and be consistent with iiurlparam

This should gives us the corresponding page thumb.

The iiurlparam parameter can/should be used for svg language as well; see bug 58663.
