User says they get this when switching he/en and back again.
Any information about web browser and OS?
Also - it would be very valuable to know if there are any errors in JS console.
I saw it in Firefox 20 on Fedora 18.
Firefox 20 on ubuntu 13.04 too. Didn't see any error in the JS console.

I don't think this is a dupe of bug 41067 - pawns appearing can have lots of causes (all bugs, but not necessarily the same bug).
I still can't reproduce this one. Can I get step-by-step instruction please?
Ping to Amir / matanya for steps to reproduce.
Steps to reproduce: 1) open https://he.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%D7%9E%D7%A9%D7%AA%D7%9E%D7%A9:Matanya/%D7%90%D7%A8%D7%92%D7%96_%D7%97%D7%95%D7%9C_2&diff=14076208&oldid=14076205 in VE mode. 2) open a new line and go to the beginning of the line. switch for he to en or vice versa on your keyboard. 3) you have a pawn. tested on firefox 21 on ubuntu 13.04
I cannot reproduce it any more (Firefox 22, Fedora 18). Marking WORKSFORME, but reopen if it still happens.
