Since r86482 it is possible to get a list of usernames by entering your e-mail-address. This is disabled by default because the database field with the e-mail-address doesn't have a database index.

I think a lot of unused accounts in the wikimedia projects is because of people forgotten their username. It would be nice, if it's possible to add the database index and enable this setting.
