This doesn't happen on iPad, but on iPod Touch the screen zooms in and wanders off to the left side of the screen (eg, over the sidebar) while typing.

Note that the keyboard is hard to engage (bug 33069) same as on iPad, but can be.

Fixed in new version of VE through using native implementation.
