Description Michael M. 2011-10-17 07:44:31 UTC
On de.wikipedia a user reported that the AJAX suggestions in monobook skin are missing when using Safari 5. Since
 'list' in document.createElement( 'input' ) === true
this is probably solved with bug 31602.

Michael, it looks like you know quite a bit about this issue. Could you take a crack at fixing it?

I added the path to bug 31602, but I only behave as if I know about the problem. In fact I just guessed, and I never tested Safari 5 whether I can reproduce the described bug, nor if my patch fixes it. :-)

see r100348 for possible fix.

Michael M.: As I don't have a machine that could run the Safari browser, is this still a problem?

I don't have a Safari either (see my comment #2), but if this still was an issue, there would have been complains on various village pumps etc. So I'm closing this as fixed.
