Hi, there was a complaint that you have to log in to change your skin back to MonoBook.

Would it be possible to let users set such settings in a cookie? Anon users could have a [[Special:Preferences]] as well. (Well, the first tab "User profile" should be read only.)

If not all preferences could be set by a cookies (maybe for caching reasons), maybe at least the settings you can overwrite in the URL (useskin, uselang, ...) could be stored in a cookie.

The problem is not providing that opportunity, the problem is that we would to double our caching needs.
