Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Purodha Blissenbach 2009-06-24 22:50:21 UTC
Messages MediaWiki:mv_search_spoken_by, and MediaWiki:mv_speech_by
would lend themselves to GENDER support, provided there is a chance
to know the speakers gender.

Comment 1 Michael Dale 2010-12-22 18:56:35 UTC
We presently don't use multilingual support for meatvid ( at least in the us congress site metavid.org ) also these keys would be difficult to populate with the gender information without inline semantic queries which would be costly for such a commonly used title.

~yes it would be nice~ But this feature would be difficult to implement for a project that has many other more pressing issues :(

[Removing RESOLVED LATER as discussed in
http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2012-November/064240.html .
Reopening and setting priority to "Lowest" as discussed on IRC.
For future reference, please use either RESOLVED WONTFIX (for issues that will
not be fixed), or simply set lowest priority. Thanks a lot!]
