We have made a poll on French Wikinews in order to get [[m:DynamicPageList2]] extension on all Wikinews projects or, if it's not granted, on French Wikinews. French language poll is on [[n:fr:Wikinews:Salle café#DynamicPageList2]] Some other people, from variate Wikinews (Italian, English, German, Russian, etc.) seem « not to be against » this new extension, in addition to the present [[m:DynamicPageList]] extension.
I suppose Wikimedia > General/Unknown is a more appropriate Product/component
Similar poll has made on it.wikinews ( [[n:it:Wikinotizie:Bar/DPL2]] ): the community supports this request and asks to get DPL2 extension on it.wikinews too.
And on Polish Wikinews ( [[n:pl:Wikinews:Kawiarenka#DynamicPageList2]] ) too.
Please consider to use the latest version of DPL2 (it is now called simply "DPL" again). This version is able to extract template calls and has a lot of new features. Output formatting was greatly enhanced and the use of symbolic variables makes it much easier to customize results, see the [http://semeb.com/dpldemo/index.php/Example_2 example].

We will not install DPL2 anywhere, as it's a large, complicated extension. Small, clean, purpose-built extensions which have known performance characteristics are preferred.
I would like to understand why DynamicPageList should be preferred to DPL2, while it doesn't allow contributors to make good things, as DPL2 would do.
I insist for activing DPL2 on WN, our communauty wants it.
