Description Steve Sanbeg 2006-12-19 20:32:44 UTC
Recently, all of the extensions were moved to a new extension: namespace. It
appears that this messed up special:search, so now searches will turn up pages
of links to nonexistent pages, with no mention of where the content went.
Comment 1 Steve Sanbeg 2006-12-21 16:26:54 UTC
Apparently, these indices aren't being updated on any of the projects; possibly
a cron job is down.

Updating the special pages means running "maintenance/updateSpecialPages.php"
and updating the table "querycache". It is *not* related to the search index,
which means running the script "maintenance/updateSearchIndex.php" and updating
the table "searchindex".
Comment 3 Brion Vibber 2006-12-21 22:08:37 UTC
The search index rebuild job for everything but enwiki was stuck and broken.
I've unstuck it; seems to be continuing now; should reach mediawikiwiki at some
point in the next day or two.
