Description Cameron 2006-11-25 10:12:14 UTC
I recently registered an account on Wikipedia. (November 24th)
I love the wikipedia service, and I easilly created my account.
My account name for wikipedia is:
Camxx
Password:
iamcool

Most of the site runs fairly smoothly, but when I go to upload an image to the
"Wikipedia Commons," It logs me out, and then says I have to log in again.
And when I then proceed to log in, with my username Camxx, and accurate
password, it says "The Username Camxx does not exist."

To trigger the bug:
1. log into wikipedia on the En.wikipedia.org main page.
2. in the toolbox, on the lefthand side of the main page, it will say "Upload File"
3. Select "Upload File"
4. on the new page, go to where it says: "If you are uploading a file under a
free license (not fair use!), consider UPLOADING it to the Wikimedia Commons
where it can be used across projects."
Select the "Uploading" Link
5.And it should log you out of the account, prompting you to log in again.

I'm guessing, if this had worked correctly, it would have taken me to an upload
form.
I first encountered this problem around 3:00am central standard time on November
25th, 2006

The only way I can then get back into my account, is by clicking the back button
on my browser.

Hopefully you can resolve this issue quickly, because I am already hooked on the
Wikipedia program!
Thankyou very much, and you can always contact me on my email,

First, change your password. *This place is public, everyone can see it and use it.*

Second, you can't use your account on Wikimedia Commons. You have to open
another account there. Marking as a duplicate of a bug which suggests single
login for all the projects.
