https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:ShortPages Something changed about the Short Pages report overnight from 11/5/14 to 11/6/14. Suddenly the list includes results from the Draft namespace. This has added a large number of pages to the front of the report, pages that cannot be easily dealt with. They are not subject to the normal Article CSD reasons, so they cannot be as easily deleted, and it's likely not a good thing to just start adding the normal Long Comment to them to move them down the list. As it is, the Short Pages list has suddenly become much less usable. These Draft pages flood out the pages from Article namespace, which are the real reason for using that report. As a side issue, the report now takes 5-10 seconds to generate, where it previously took a second or less. This makes it look like, whatever changed, the report is now drastically more CPU or DB intensive than previously. May be connected to whatever change added the Draft pages to the list.
+CC James Forrester. Gerrit change #171024 did this, I think.
It's a config bug, and indeed, related to 171024 https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki/blob/master/includes/specials/SpecialShortpages.php#L49
Sorry, I somehow had missed Glaisher's comment when I moved this ticket.
Reverting the original change. Rationale on Gerrit change #172034.
