Description John 2006-09-04 01:40:48 UTC
I tried installing media-wiki on my new host (1and1.com beginner package) and it
says php5 is required. I asked the support team about it and they said that have
had php5 for a long time and it must be the software.what should i do?
Comment 1 Dan Li 2006-09-04 01:42:40 UTC
Ask them if you have to do anything to enable it. (For example, one of my hosts
requires that I add "AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php" to .htaccess.)

MediaWiki obviously works fine under normal circumstances. You're going to need
to give more info if you want anyone to be able to look into it. E.g., does
1.6.x run? Do other PHP 5 apps run? What version does phpinfo report? Dan
Li's suggestion is probably something to try first.
