Because the babel templates are going to dominate the template namespace on German wikiquote, I tried to move the babel templates into an own namespace "Babel" (:de:q:Kategorie:Babel:Vorlagen). But since this namespace is not registered, the templates appear in the article namespace. To register the new namespace I read the instructions on meta:Help:Custom_namespaces, but I found that I have no access to the files mentioned there "/includes/DefaultSettings.php" and "LocalSettings.php" or they don't exist. Also at German wikiquote it is desired to have the "Portal" namespace, too. Could you tell me how I can register the namespace or name a contact person, who is competent in these things. Hubert
In general, you need to file a bug report here, link to discussion where the community agrees that this is a good idea, and give the exact names of the namespaces and any associated talk namespaces. Then one of the handful of people with shell access will edit LocalSettings.php for you.
Please provide: * exact form of the namespace(s) * exact form of the talk namespace(s) * link to any discussion on the matter on the wiki
