If I attempt to change a template like
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Course_page_wizard&action=edit
which is used in a page such as
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Program:University_of_Pittsburgh/Social_Computing_%28Fall_2014%29
the preview feature of the template doesn't work: Copying "Education Program:University of Pittsburgh/Social Computing (Fall 2014)" to the "Page title" field and clicking on "Show preview" causes the error message "The title you specified for previewing does not exist."
