please add the following domain(s) to the wgCopyUploadsDomains whitelist: http://www.soumaya.com.mx/
Change 161192 had a related patch set uploaded by Jeremyb: add www.soumaya.com.mx to wgCopyUploadsDomains https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/161192
looking at the URL, http://www.soumaya.com.mx/, everything is “protected” via a flash application. i can”t tell if the images reside at this domain or elsewhere, so whitelisting this domain may not be helpful. do they have an example of a few image URLs they wish to upload? that would help identify the domain that needs to be whitelisted.
* after a bit of further investigation, it looks like this web server may have been hacked: http://www.soumaya.com.mx/imagenes/2003/ * and the images in this directory are mostly low resolution/ low dimension http://www.soumaya.com.mx/imagenes/ * are there examples of higher resolution/higher dimension images that will be used during upload to commons?
FWIW, apparently they launched a new website and it does look substantially different. but it's IIS :-((((
(In reply to jeremyb from comment #4) > FWIW, apparently they launched a new website and it does look substantially > different. but it's IIS :-(((( I'm here at the museum right now - and you're correct. They launched their new website last night as part of the Wikipedia Editathon event they're hosting. Looks like they'll be providing us with TIFF files of collection images on a hard-disk for mass-uploading the traditional way. Oh well...
Change 161192 abandoned by Hashar: add www.soumaya.com.mx to wgCopyUploadsDomains Reason: Abandoning patch while upstream hosting issue is being figured out. Please follow up on bug 70986 and reopen this change whenever it is fixed :) https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/161192
do we still need to whitelist this domain or can this bug be closed? if we need to whitelist it, please provide at least 2 urls to images that would be uploaded to commons.
bump

Sorry I've not responded earlier to this. Yes, Dereckson is correct, this ticket is now not needed.
