user.gif in the monobook skin has artifacts as the result of antialiasing, and
looks horrible on non-white/grey backgrounds.  The antialiasing is largely
unnecessary, so I altered it to remove the offending pixels.  The resulting
image looks identical against a grey background, and acceptable against others.
 Please see attached images for before and after shots.
