The special page [[Special:Unwatchedpages]] in Spanish Wikipedia (es.wikipedia.org), known as [[Especial:PáginasSinVigilar]], only shows the 5,000 first articles in alphabetical order.

"A maximum of 5,000 results are available in the cache." should be written in the header of the special page to explain this situation.
Comment 2 David Abián 2014-08-17 14:17:57 UTC
Right, thanks, I have deleted [[:w:es:MediaWiki:Perfcachedts]].

Anyway, would it be actually impossible to list all unwatched articles? With only 5,000, the page becomes practically useless in a medium project.
Comment 3 Andre Klapper 2014-08-17 15:36:44 UTC
I guess this has to do with performance...

Also see bug 12272 for one potential approach to fix this problem.
Comment 4 Umherirrender 2014-08-17 17:37:47 UTC
Yes, it is for performance reason. For example on dewiki there are more than 100,000 unwatched pages, there is no useful way to look at all and choose some for your own watchlist.

You can shorten the list by using a script adding all the pages to a watchlist of a new user account and wait 3 days for the next update and redo this. After some updates you can have all the pages in one watchlist to look at.
