Description Brion Vibber 2014-07-07 22:59:12 UTC
iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 introduce a plural-handling mechanism to localizable strings: this is buried in Foundation release notes for 10.9: https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/releasenotes/Foundation/RN-Foundation/index.html

This *should* be able to map to something resembling either the MediaWiki-style or ruby-i18n-style plurals already in use on TWN, but need to think about best way to handle it.

There's also some gender-handling mechanism but it's even more poorly documented (unless there's more docs that I haven't found yet!)

We'll need this for the iOS Wikipedia app, so I'll try to whip something together, but we likely won't have it done for the first release.
