I went to my user contribution page on mediawiki.org (screenshot attached) and saw 3 different color highlights on my contributions. I could not figure out what the colors meant. I looked thoroughly at the page, clicked some help links, and googled. Several minutes of time and I could not figure it out. There is no indication. Finally someone in IRC told me, but I would not have been able to figure it out on my own.
