The "Time offset" user preference at [[mw:Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-datetime]] should be moved to the "User profile" user preference tab. A user's time zone is closer to user profile information such as gender and signature. This is step one of two steps to killing the "Date and time" user preference tab.

I missed that you changed this bug's summary. Ah well. The real goal was to kill the "Date and time" tab, which was a success. I'd recommend filing a separate bug about either fixing the documentation or re-adding this anchor (I'd prefer the latter, personally). A comment on a closed bug report is almost surely to be forgotten. :-)
