When trying to edit a large Watchlist on Commons (> 40.000 pages watched) editors cannot edit this watchlist, but get a generic Wikimedia Foundation error warning "our servers are experiencing a technical problem.. please try again in a few minutes").

Trying again never helps, this is a constant problem for months now.
