The extensions bundled in the 1.22.3 release are not the REL1_22 branch, causing breakage since some extensions are no longer compatible. It appears they are master, but not exactly (bug 62062 comment 5).

This seems to be the case for 1.19.12 too - see bug 62504 (RenameUser), bug 62503 (Gadgets), bug 62502 (ConfirmEdit)
