Inside the category editor, there used to be a drop-down indicator on categories.  It's not there now.  Not at MediaWiki, not at Wikipedias, not in Safari 6, not in Firefox 26 (on Mac OS 10.8.5).

Yes, this got broken some time ago due to an oversight – and we just fixed it on Friday (Gerrit change #113477). The fix will be going out to MediaWiki.org tomorrow. Sorry!
