Created attachment 14499 [details]
In the VE mode

Steps to reproduce:

1.Open the page with VE
2.Insert a reference for a text
3.Add the same reference again somewhere in the page
4.Add the reflist
5.Save the page

Observed Result:
The repeated reference appears as (a,b) in the reflist in the readmode but as (1.0,1.1) inside VE in Betalabs.

This is because the Parsoid (re)implementation of Cite doesn't support the customisation of the i18n message currently – merging with that issue.
