Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Rory 2006-05-26 04:38:44 UTC
When transcluding a page that is protected (and has a header in it), the little
[edit] button will still show up, but only give you a "view source" page when
you click on it. It would be nice to just not show the edit button at all.

This problem still exists in 1.12alpha (r30892). Also, any fix for this should probably also address bug 13079, which is the reverse of this one: "no edit links for transcluded sections on protected pages".
Comment 2 Alexandre Emsenhuber [IAlex] 2008-07-29 17:35:40 UTC
fixed in r38196.
