Per Bug 59113 we looked around the code for things that have been deprecated
and found $wgCanonicalServer at includes/DefaultSettings.php:96

$wgCanonicalServer is not deprecated...it's actively used.

"@since 1.18" is different to "@deprecated since 1.18"
