Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

Wikimedia has migrated from Bugzilla to Phabricator. Bug reports should be created and updated in Wikimedia Phabricator instead. Please create an account in Phabricator and add your Bugzilla email address to it.
Wikimedia Bugzilla is read-only. If you try to edit or create any bug report in Bugzilla you will be shown an intentional error message.
In order to access the Phabricator task corresponding to a Bugzilla report, just remove "static-" from its URL.
You could still run searches in Bugzilla or access your list of votes but bug reports will obviously not be up-to-date in Bugzilla.

Description Dysprosia 2004-09-29 12:12:26 UTC
See above url: Wikitext says "''E''&lambda;''i''", but
renders as "<em>E</em>λ<em>i</em> "

Skin is Col Blue, Mozilla Firefox 0.8.

MediaWiki currently renders nested tags just fine, but tidy is rejecting it and
rewriting the output.

I'm not sure why; accepts it just fine. May be a bug in tidy.

I reported this as a bug of tidy at SourceForge
here]. As a result, it is now fixed in the CVS version of tidy with
this patch].

Changing product to "Wikimedia web sites" as tidy need an upgrade
(if we still use it on the site).
