Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2006-05-15 16:45:22 UTC
Hallo!

I realized that there are some troubles with titles as MediaWiki:Bar/foo /
MediaWiki_talk:Bar/foo in a wiki with content language foo.

I assume that handling these message consistently with would complicate
things.

and would still handle them as normal pages but the result
might differ from what would provide.

The fallback chain for int is <s>complicated</s> complex enough. The existence
of such pages might lead to unexpected results / pages with changed content as
soon as variants as
MediaWiki:Bar, MediaWiki:bar (starting with a lower case letter) etc.
would be deleted. These are quite complex scenarios and difficult to follow.

best regards reinhardt user:gangleri

It would be better to explain what the problems are and allow us to correct them
than add counterintuitive behaviour to hack around it.
Comment 2 Niklas Laxström 2007-11-30 15:24:36 UTC
I don't see a reason to start forbidding any valid titles.
