Description lɛʁi לערי ריינהארט 2006-05-15 09:54:23 UTC
Hallo!

Neither are the messages of the BoardVote extension included in Messages.php nor
should of the translations be included in any MessagesXx.php.

Please provide a place in SVN where these translations can be stored / maintained.

A more general request would be to have MessagesWMF.php and MessagesWMFXx.php
where additional messages could be included.

Such additional messages could be translations of the "{{SITENAME}}'s" of the
Wikimedia Foundation projects as:
Commons
Foundation
Meta
(Wiki)Species
Wikimania

I assume thate these messages could be included automaticaly at the Wikimedia
Foundation projects via LocalSettings.php.

The de facto standard for extensions is to add messages into the message cache
upon invocation. This allows local sysops to customise the text.

We're not going to develop an entire new i18n system for a proprietary extension
that is useful for one special case; ours.

We probably should, though. Squishing arrays into one file kind
of sucks.

BoardVote.i18n.php exists since July 2006:
