Created attachment 14210 [details] Screenshot of the script error in a Microsoft Word file I have been experiencing occasional script errors when I access the English Wikipedia using Mozilla Firefox 26.0. This afternoon it occurred when I was loading "Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost". The error message that popped up was: "Warning: Unresponsive script "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: https://bits.wikimedia.org/en.wikipedia.org/load.php?debug=false&lang=en&modules=jquery%2Cmediawiki%2CSpinner%7Cjquery.triggerQueueCallback%2CloadingSpinner%2CmwEmbedUtil%7Cmw.MwEmbedSupport&only=scripts&skin=vector&version=20140101T031839Z:105"
Please reattach your screenshot as an image files here (JPG, PNG) instead of embedding in a Word file. Thanks in advance. Also, does this happen in safe mode too? How reproducible is the problem?
Created attachment 14211 [details] Screenshot of the script error in a JPEG file Hi, Tried starting Firefox in safe mode and didn't see the error. However, as I mentioned, the error is transient and doesn't always occur. Cheers, Jack
It happened again when I booted up my laptop today, also in connection with the page "Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost". The error message was: "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: https://bits.wikimedia.org/en.wikipedia.org/load.php?debug=false&lang=en&modules=jquery%2Cmediawiki%2CSpinner%7Cjquery.triggerQueueCallback%2CloadingSpinner%2CmwEmbedUtil%7Cmw.MwEmbedSupport&only=scripts&skin=vector&version=20140103T025527Z:105".
