Created attachment 13650 [details] Media-Viewer-Bug-Large-Font-Description-Wikimedia-Team-Screenshot.png The current license label is longer than it needs to be ('Licensing information') and distracts the user from viewing the image (see attached screenshot). Consider instead using this shorter title: 'See license' This would only be shown when a file is *not* Creative Commons, as outlined in this Mingle ticket: https://mingle.corp.wikimedia.org/projects/multimedia/cards/34 Since 61% of Wikimedia Commons files are licensed under Creative Commons, this label would be shown about 39% of the time, which makes it an important use case.
Change 93608 had a related patch set uploaded by Gergő Tisza: Shorter text for license link https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/93608
Siebrand recommends making the max width of the license text about 200% of the width of the English version so that more verbose translations still display properly.

Gergo, if the suggestion from siebrand is an issue, open another bug for it, this one is FIXED.
