Created attachment 13576 [details] Media-Viewer-Lightbox-View-Screenshot2-Alpha-10-24-2013 The file description for the attached screenshot (1) is too lengthy compared to the other elements near it and throws the page out of balance, creating unnecessary visual clutter. The recommended design for this Media Viewer lightbox view is to truncate the description after 256 characters, with a 'More' link to expand the contents, as shown in the design mockup (2) and requested in the corresponding Mingle ticket #33 (3). Clicking on the 'More' link will reveal the rest of the description. A 'Less' link could also be provided, should the user want to restore the description to its original format. More info about Media Viewer on our project page (4). Change 92006 had a related patch set uploaded by MarkTraceur: Truncate a few files with autoEllipsis https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/92006
Change 92006 abandoned by MarkTraceur: Truncate a few fields with autoEllipsis Reason: I think I'm going to write a new patch that does this with a scrollable div. Let's see how that goes. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/92006
I want to do this with a scrollable div. And posthaste.

I think this solution is pretty much good enough. Any changes to the design portion of the solution should be separate bugs.
