Intention: Add a parameter to a template. Expectation: That the cursor would automatically be present in the "Add parameter" text field (where it says "Parameter name"), so we could just start typing without having to reach for the mouse. Steps to reproduce and results: 1) Add or open any template. 2) Start typing the name of a parameter. 3) Discover that you are no longer able to just start typing the name, but must first reach for the mouse or trackpad, and then click to put the cursor inside the only possible place where you might be typing on that screen. This was reported as a new and undesirable behavior with MediaWiki version 1.22wmf21, by a user who normally uses Firefox 24, Windows 8 and Vector skin and confirmed in Safari 6 on a Mac.
Changing this bug slightly to fit the current situation with tab indexes.
