From bug 40482, Erik said that the interface "displays the time in a user-unfriendly format"

I'm not quite sure what's unfriendly about it, "17:45, 7 October 2013" looks fine to me. Marking as UNCONFIRMED for now.

Oh, kept reading and saw "using readable time information ("3 minutes ago")". That shouldn't be too difficult to implement.
