Hello admins! I am setting up DrTrigonBot on Labs (migrating from TS). For this I need and thus request the installation of the 'cv' and 'cv2' python module. Thanks and Greetings DrTrigon
I am not familiar with those modules. Are they related to opencv?
Yes exactly! Version 1 and 2 of the OpenCV python bindings.
As far as I can tell, the version of opencv supported by Ubuntu precise is 2.3.1, with seems to provide only the 'cv' python module (though it binds with 'cv2.so'), so it's not clear which of those requirements this meets. I'll install this now; if you are missing further requirements, I'll look into it.
Change 83105 had a related patch set uploaded by coren: Tool Labs: opencv (and python bindings to same) https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/83105

Thanks - I will test all new software! I remember when we did the same on the TS (debian/ubuntu) we had some similar issues, please confer [1] and [2] (search for "cv"). As you can see there a (unofficial) backport of cv2 was installed - I think DaB did this... (In reply to comment #6) Ok tested with python: >>> import cv >>> import cv2 not errors, so everything seems to work all right. Thanks!
