Description Sam Reed (reedy) 2013-08-30 03:47:35 UTC
mw1153 seems to generate more thumbnail errors than any other image scaler. This is in the magnitude of 2 to 3 times more errors than the rest of the scaler eqiad cluster. For all of August each scaler seems to generate 30-40k lines a day, whereas mw1153 generates 90-100k

Should be investigated. The amount of load on the box seems lower than the others according to ganglia

Looking at https://ganglia.wikimedia.org/latest/?r=month&cs=&ce=&c=Image+scalers+eqiad&h=mw1153.eqiad.wmnet&tab=m&vn=&mc=2&z=medium&metric_group=ALLGROUPS it seems that the load reached a normal level again in the middle of week 36?

Is this still an issue?

No, it's not. This was related to #53800 and fixed on Sep 5th.
