Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

I just read the page of Featured articles and found something I really do not 
understand. Forget my rough words if I offend somebody. But I absolutely will trive 
for rights of common users of wikipedia :-)

1. "we can't keep track of all of the great ones".
Who are 'we' here?  And why limit some special "we" to keep track of great ones even 
though these "we" know that they can't do this? How about letting anybody, any 
reader, any writer to keep track or express opinion about any article??

2. "In order to put an article on this page ,it must first pass a review for ... for 
style, blah blah". 

What? What makes these featured article candidates so special? We are trusting 
anybody by letting anybody edit and modify any page at anytime from anywhere, but we 
do not trust their abilities to choose featured pages thus we choose some featured 
geniuses to do this and set some strict rules here. What a ironic!

3. a long page full of debates about if a page is featured or not.

It does not make any sense to reach an agreement for a page before declaring it as 
featured one. If 8 out of 10 users gave high grades to a page, then it is featured. 

My conclusion: put a grading facility under each article, say 10 check boxes 
indicating grades of 1 to 10 with 10 means full mark. Thus any user can click one of 
these boxes to conveniently and easily express his/her opinion about the quality of 
current page. If they want to say more, direct them to the discussion page. A grading 
behavior is a click away by this, which let more people to grade more articles with 
much less efforts.

We should set some restrictions here to ensure no redundant grading are submitted to 
a same article from a same person or same IP during a certain time. That are 
technical details.
