Just like for local blocks, a box titled "This IP address is currently *globally* blocked. The latest block log entry is provided below for reference:" should appear on Special:Contributions for IPs which are currently gblocked.

For the records, what's the current discoverability of the information? One has to access Special:Block for the IP, right? Or intentionally check Special:GlobalBlockList.

That's the case. Special:Block itself doesn't provide details on a global block except for its existence, only a link to Special:GlobalBlockList.

This is easy to do for when you're viewing IP addresses on meta, however the log entries don't exist on other wikis, so there would be nothing to display really.

Well, but can't it be fetched somehow? Maybe via the local GlobalBlockList which is able to know of gblocks?

I lied, this actually isn't that difficult. First step is Ie196611d504b3969bcdfb5c589716af2f3c54e14, which will allow us to output the information in the first place. 

After that, we just need to get the information from the globalblocking database and format it nicely.

Nevermind, 1.24wmf7 gets rolled out to WPs today.
