Description Helder 2013-08-08 11:48:17 UTC
Although the link
https://git.wikimedia.org/blob/operations%2Fpuppet.git/ef59b32b7e8d7ecd5a47afcdfa9062cc926ae0f7/manifests%2Fadmins.pp#L48
works fine, if I replace the hash by "head" I get one which doesn't work:
https://git.wikimedia.org/blob/operations%2Fpuppet.git/head/manifests%2Fadmins.pp#L48

It shows the following:
-------------------
Internal error

Return to home page
-------------------

This link probably worked at some point, because it is linked from
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/System_administrators?oldid=5684239

I haven't any experience with gitblit, so I might be totally wrong here.

But when trying with other repos, I had to use “HEAD” (all caps) instead
of “head” (lowercase).

For the operations/puppet repository "HEAD" does not work either. (Maybe
because HEAD is not pointing to the usual “master” branch, but HEAD is
pointing to “production”?)

Either way, the link:
https://git.wikimedia.org/blob/operations%2Fpuppet.git/production/manifests%2Fadmins.pp#L48
allows to refer to line 48 of manifests/admins.pp for the current tip of the
production branch (which currently agrees with HEAD).

That was probably GitWeb.

Afaik this actually only effects Operations and chad has already filed it up steam I believe.
