Description spacebirdy 2006-03-07 22:49:54 UTC
Halló,
if I put a comment next to MediaWiki:Sidebar it damages the sidebar.
( [[:wikt:is:Melding:Sidebar]] )
See the following screenshots for details:
http://www.geocities.com/sesheep/bugzilla/melding-sidebar-err1.jpg
http://www.geocities.com/sesheep/bugzilla/melding-sidebar-err2.jpg
http://www.geocities.com/sesheep/bugzilla/melding-sidebar-noerr1.jpg
I also tested this on de.wikt: same result:
http://www.geocities.com/sesheep/bugzilla/mediawiki-sidebar-de.jpg

Shouldn't it be possible to put a comment everywhere?
The comment now only works if put in an extra line.

Many thanks in advance,
best regards, Elisabeth Anderl [[:wikt:is:Notandi:Spacebirdy]]

The sidebar isn't HTML or wiki text; it's a special syntax and doesn't
support comments in any explicit way.

Is this wontfix or does someone think it should be fixed?
Comment 4 Dan Collins 2011-07-11 14:03:49 UTC
Apparently no one thinks it should be fixed. The sidebar uses a weird and special syntax, and while it would be nice if it didn't, it seems to work pretty well, so I'll close this wontfix. Also changing to enhancement, since that's what it is, and clearing platform fields.
