Sorry I dont have good steps to reproduce here. 1. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebla?veaction=edit 2. Test stuff 3. Click in the first or second paragraph somewhere 4. Add image button 5. Select an image Results: Tmage dialog is open with options to add caption, and/or perhaps the image is inserted in the article but *kept in focus*. Actual results: The image is added, floated and off the screen. (not ideal, but not what this bug is about) Clicking on the image and pressing the associated image icon does nothing. I cant reproduce this on my first attempt, but it happened - the window is still open and the image dialog on all old and new images doesnt open! :/ The toolbar image button does work.
Created attachment 12930 [details] Empty image dialog In the diff I can see that I tried to add an image between "zo'n" and "55 km", and the image inserted was [[File:Ebla12.JPG]]. After it is inserted, going to the image and opening the image dialog works, however the dialog is empty (pic 1 coming) Click apply changes Then the image dialog doesnt work.
I can't reproduce this (or the image being "floated and off screen") in Firefox or Chrome after a few tries. Would it be possible for you to record a screencast of it happening?
After a few mins of attempting to replicate, it happened again. It doesnt happen every time, and I've yet to get properly reproducible steps to reproduce. But it has only taken me six image inserts to reproduce (i reloaded the window after the third one) I am using monobook & Dutch UI on nlwp, on the cited article and adding the cited image. "off screen" should have been "out of the viewport". i.e. I am starting the insert operation with a viewport such that, when the inserted image is added floated underneath the infobox, the added image isnt in the viewport. No screencasting possible.
My steps to reproduce are very similar to bug 50850, so I'm going to assume that is it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 50850 ***
