Description NicoV 2013-07-10 18:45:43 UTC
Several editors are planned for editing parts of articles for specific tags : <math>...</math>, <blockquote>...</blockquote>, ... But there are many tags available in wiki syntax, and every extension can register its own set of tags.

It would be better to also have a basic generic editor for all tags that are currently not handled by VE and unknown to VE (<source>...</source>, <timeline>...</timeline>, <score>...</score>, <hiero>...</hiero>). It would be a simple text editor allowing to edit the content of the tag as basic text, without much controls.

This way users could completely edit an article with VE, without to switch back to old edit mode, even the parts that VE don't understand.

This is a duplicate of the previously entirely-unhelpfully-named bug 43133 - I've it edited a bit so hopefully it will be more obvious in future, and an merging this bug into that one.
