Hallo! Section links in "Preview" generate links as . Personaly I can not see many benefits of such links. Original changes are not "preserved" when clicking to such a link. It should be clear to everybody that a section link is *not* the edit link. I assume that it would not be inconsistent to render a section link 'foo' at page 'bar' in "Preview" as bar#foo. best regards reinhardt user:gangleri
Look at the HTML.
looking at "View" | "Page source" in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 at the TOC I found <li class='toclevel-2'><a href="#New_Proposal_-_Artist_of_the_Month"><span class="tocnumber">2.1</span> <span class="toctext">New Proposal - Artist of the Month</span></a></li> in the body I found <p><a name="New_Proposal_-_Artist_of_the_Month" id="New_Proposal_-_Artist_of_the_Month"></a></p> This is very helpfull for "view" and "purge". At "action=submit" they generate (for me) http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Community_Portal&action=submit#New_Proposal_-_Artist_of_the_Month I was asking if they should generate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Community_Portal#New_Proposal_-_Artist_of_the_Month best regards reinhardt user:gangleri
(In reply to comment #2) > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Community_Portal#New_Proposal_-_Artist_of_the_Month I assume it would be more helpfull to generate links to rendered rections and *not* "edit" links" REOPENing the request.
It's an on-page link. It has no "edit" action in it. Please stop reopening these things.
