Description Lupo 2013-05-30 11:29:07 UTC
There appears to be a problem with updating page info after deletions. I first noticed this at the deletion requests page at the Commons. I frequently see deletion requests that were closed as "deleted", but the file link is still shown in blue, as if the file had not been deleted. Clicking on the link, one then discovers that the file actually no longer exists and actually was deleted.
Purging the deletion request page cures the problem, the file link is then shown as a red link.

A different case just happened: I moved [[:commons:MediaWiki talk:Gadget-HotCat.js/ku]] to [[:commons:MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js/ku]] without leaving a redirect. I got a confirmation page saying

Move succeeded

"MediaWiki talk:Gadget-HotCat.js/ku" has been moved to "MediaWiki:Gadget-HotCat.js/ku"

A redirect has been created.

Both links were blue. Clicking on the first link one then ends up at a non-existing page, so the move actually worked and did not create a redirect, as instructed, and contrary to what the confirmation told me.

This may be related to bug 43589.
