Description Effeietsanders 2013-05-25 14:10:33 UTC
Hong Kong declared monuments are already on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declared_monuments_of_Hong_Kong . The list will have to be transformed a bit though, after that it should be added asap to the database.
Comment 1 Tomasz W. Kozlowski 2013-05-25 19:48:05 UTC
This is a high importance bug.
Comment 2 Maarten Dammers 2013-08-13 19:56:33 UTC
We already have a lot of sources in the monuments database (see
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Monuments_database/Statistics). This
is a tracker bug to keep track of what more to add. Bugs should contain the
source wikipedia language and the country (or region).

Useful information to include:
* project -wikipedia
* lang - language code of the Wikipedia
* headerTemplate - the name of the header template
* rowTemplate - the name of the row template
* commonsTemplate - template to track images at Commons
* commonsTrackerCategory - the tracker category at Commons (blala with known
IDs)
* commonsCategoryBase - the base of the category tree at Commons for all images
* autoGeocode - To automagicly geocode the images at Commons (be careful1)
* unusedImagesPage - Page to put the list of unused images.
* imagesWithoutIdPage - Page to put the list of images without an id.
* registrantUrlBase - The url which can be combined with the id to get more
info
* namespaces - What namespaces are the lists in (0, please!)
* table - The name of the table, convention monuments_<country>_(<lang>)
* truncate - False if you don't have a real primkey
* primkey - What is the primkey? Can be one or more fields. Should be unique,
strong etc.
Comment 3 Maarten Dammers 2013-08-17 19:53:58 UTC
Two types of monuments are linked from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heritage_conservation_in_Hong_Kong . Both already have lists, but not in the right format. Changing to prio low, please ping if template based lists are ready.
Comment 4 Effeietsanders 2013-08-23 12:13:19 UTC
* project -wikipedia
* lang - en
* headerTemplate - HK Historic Building header
* rowTemplate - HK Historic Building row

Comment 5 Effeietsanders 2013-08-23 23:06:37 UTC
Should probably be split in two bugs: English and Chinese.
Comment 6 AleXXw 2013-08-24 22:04:41 UTC
There is also 'HK Declared Monument header' & 'HK Declared Monument row', used in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declared_monuments_of_Hong_Kong

Do we want to add both or just one of them? If just one I'd use the last one, I't the only one with IDs.
Comment 7 Effeietsanders 2013-08-24 22:17:05 UTC
It seems they have
1) Declared monuments (101)
2) Grade I historical buildings
3) Grade II historical buildings
4) Grade III historical buildings

I think we should both map HK Declared Monument header/row (1), and HK Historic Building header/row (2/3/4), but the latter still needs to get unique identifiers... So just start with one and do the other when it's ready?
Comment 8 AleXXw 2013-08-24 22:41:56 UTC
I'll just add them both, tomorrow.
Comment 9 AleXXw 2013-08-24 22:42:22 UTC
I'll just add them both, tomorrow.
Comment 10 Effeietsanders 2013-08-25 12:14:33 UTC
Specifying this bug to English, creating new bug for Chinese.
Comment 11 AleXXw 2013-08-25 21:31:47 UTC
Added to the databases, created the templates & categories on commons, did some work on wp-templates.

Many IDs of the historic building-lists are still missing.
Comment 12 Romaine 2013-09-04 13:04:16 UTC
The lists are also available in the Chinese Wikipedia
